Description
Multi-Axis Digital Sensor for Real-Time Crack and Structural Displacement Monitoring
Sisgeo DEX-S is a digital extensometer-based sensor designed for continuous,
real-time monitoring of crack opening, relative displacement, and structural movement
in buildings and infrastructure.
Unlike simple linear crackmeters, the DEX-S allows measurement of multi-directional
displacement and is suitable for applications where crack behavior includes opening,
shear, or combined movements.
Measured Parameters
- Crack opening (linear displacement)
- Relative structural displacement
- Multi-axis movement (depending on configuration)
Typical Measurement Range
- ±10 mm
- ±25 mm
- ±50 mm
- Custom configurations available
Accuracy & Performance
- High-resolution digital measurement
- Excellent long-term stability
- Suitable for permanent monitoring installations
Data Output & Integration
- RS485 / Modbus digital output
- Direct integration with dataloggers and IoT gateways
- Real-time data streaming to monitoring dashboards
- Ideal for continuous and automated monitoring systems
Typical Applications
- Structural crack monitoring in concrete and masonry
- Monitoring of combined crack opening and shear movement
- Buildings, tunnels, bridges, and retaining structures
- Urban and infrastructure monitoring projects
i

Sisgeo DEX-S sensors are fully compatible with InfraScan monitoring systems and can be
integrated into real-time dashboards for displacement visualization, trend analysis,
and automated alerts.
Sensor configuration and installation geometry are selected based on structural behavior
and monitoring objectives.
